I thought I’d share a birthday cake I made for my mum. Her 60th was a few years ago now (she won’t thank me for telling you that!) but I never got around to posting pictures. This was only the second cake I’d iced with fondant icing, so I kept the design simple, and just used round cutters to make the different spots and shapes and stick them on with vodka. What do you think? My son, who was about 3 at the time couldn’t resist the little spots of icing!
